 Thanks got me smile back! sunshine found it lol Thats ok thank you,steriod is starting to work but feeling so washed out,gp rang and said lmphyocytes low,neutrophils high see how goes may have go in see own gp. no more blood test,Hopefully with no more MTX all wonky blood bits should pick up. will take some time new dose planequil to kick in,so taking things easy. Lupus side thigns are whats called mild,RA and Fibromyaliga more main issue. does 1 need carry warning card if having regular steriod injections? forgot ask rheumy team lol. sun shining melly cuddly cats make my world seem so much more fun

Don't know about the med alert card for steroids but hoping you start to see some relief soon!!

I never have heard of a warning card for steroids but there may be one.
I have had about five since August and no one has mentioned it to me...I am due to have a sixth soon but am putting it off until I am desperate! LOL

amanda you musnt put it off youve been in alot of pain. yes there is a steriod warning card used for those on tablets i just wondered if need one for injections when having often my guess then if you dont no need for one. thanks yes alot of support from you lovelies and lupie site has helped. taking ti easy ben out small walk fluid on knees making it hard to walk lol. melly cuddly cats make my world seem so much more fun

Did the rheumy say how many shots of steroid he would give you or is it a wait and see thing??
Did he not mention going onto low dose steroid between TTC and the first few months of pregnancy?
Praying you won't need anything at all! and that the steroid you just had really really helps you..

you could put the seriod on your moblie phone and thing in your purse . may be the first place someone would look if you had an accacitdent .???? love christine The chocolate eating housewife ...The washer woman .....naughty lady

melly, just managed to get back on here after yesterdays no go!!!! anyway, I have a steroid card for the pred, as they say its important, would have thought same for the jabs too. My gp has recommended have a medic alert bracelet too, so have just got one. She said it needs to be there just incase of being on your own and taken ill, they will know what not to give you if on steroids. Anyway, maybe ask at the pharmacy? Glad you are getting better with the flare too, it makes so much difference not to be in so much pain. I am dreading coming off the pred, I know thats silly, but it enables me to work, and I want to so much. Maybe thats just selfish, but I do enjoy being with the little ones. Hi Thanks all replies much apreciated support,hadnt realised how important good support is had been rather cutting myself from support of late. anyway oh yes amanda for next 6 months steriod injections full dose planequil. then once at ttc stage switch to low dpse steriod tablets and stay on full dose planequil. i will book in nearer time to see specialist nurse,guys run a special drop in service for pre pregancy,during and after she managed all care and consultants check her decisions in terms treatment. For 1st appoinment one has to ring up book apointment then its ring up and ask when can drop by,ive already met her shes lovely. I shall defintely do this as alot more to deal with than previously expected! for now im to see how long i can last on big steriod injection if find its wearing off say monthly then they will switch asap o tablet form. thanks barbs re steriod card.for now il pop note in my purse re treatment-until i go to pharmacy gopt great chemist always willing give advice. do you find it hard sleep after steriod injection,feeling so uncomfy hands painful,arms,knees. This is week one no Mtx. so far ive had to increase my pain relief to what i had been taking. Flare is still here lol . resting as much as can do. [Thank you glenys today enjoyed outing brief one,met my new pharacist went threw all changes to emdication,said tow atch out for ifnections,otehrwsie il be fine any concerns can rign up and chat. sad our best ever Gp has left surgery,  to this,NOW is it good time to change Gp to 1 closer to home or do i stay still got 2 aldy gps that fidn good. tiem for decisons shall not decide straight away. well today 1std ay not felt knocked out by new higher dose planequil,still got some swelling flare. so tomorrow tonight is rest time. feelb righter more able do things. at same time cautious not overdo things. melly cuddly cats make my world seem so much more fun

Hi Melly I have a steroid alert card and would think it appropriate if you are having regular steroid injections. At least if you are 'out for the count' following illness/accident medics will be aware of the need for caution. I also have a bracelet with details on, although have a habit of forgetting to wear it!! Hope you start to feel a big improvement soon. Take care, put your feet up and rest as much as you can. Lyn x

Hi Lyn you do oh right-forgot ask chemist shall ask gp about it,yes having lot pain upper arms today so resting up now. One thing thats REALLY disapointed me is lack of any concern shown from my parents,mum went all quiet and dad nothing not a word guess there way dealing with my new diagnsois,as mums not to well dont wish say anything right now. very much a alck of any FAMILY support..... melly cuddly cats make my world seem so much more fun

Oh dear, I am sorry to hear that. You and your parents seem so close. Perhaps they are just very upset and don't know how to show it without becoming sad.
It is very hard seeing your own children suffer so.

Thank you yes perhaps Amanda,Things are more settled today thanks julie. had restful day. having horrid time trying get to sleep,yes maybe just because mums not well herself. yes good i have forums for support. porbarbly better that way a dont like worry folks. grey skies here very stormy looking. steriods working well great news. Hands back normal size,knees also swelling gone half down,toes same. bit of a concern urine ahs gone a strong colour il be fine. melly cuddly cats make my world seem so much more fun

I'm sorry your parents seem distant about your diagnosis, maybe that's their way of dealing with things, and it may take time for them to accept what is happening to you. I'm sure they will support you as much as they can.
You can get a steroid alert card from the pharmacist, I carry one in my purse, in the hope that someone would look in there if I was taken ill while out.
I hope by now you're feeling a teeny bit better.

Hi lyn ahh ok yes feeling better than this time last week,just chatted to my mum i call every 2 days to see how they are shes not anaemic so thats good. got some nervy sensations left hand sides fingers weird.swelling reducing yipee to that. yes chirpy and weekend with hubby. small isue of water works pain,strong colour takin extra water. thanks lyn hope your ok to. melly cuddly cats make my world seem so much more fun
